Will I recommend it to you? Read Wildcard. Yes, Emika was ‘rewarded’ at the end of the book but there are some things that I wish were different, if that makes sense? I wish it didn’t end that way. I don’t know if this book has a happy ending or not. I’m satisfied, surprised and also sad things went down like that. All unanswered questions between Zero and who took Sasuke were all answered in this book. Miss Marie Lu successfully surprised me with his arc and backstory. I’m glad that Emika didn’t justify Hideo’s action even though their relationship grew deeper in the book.Īside from stopping Hideo with his algorithm bs, we also get to see Zero’s arc. Because now, I’m really thrilled to see Hideo and Emika together. I took back what I said about the romance was unnecessary in Warcross. In other to do so, she has to work with Zero, where she learns the real motive behind Zero’s intention toward Hideo. The book follows Emi trying to stop Hideo’s NeuroLink algorithm to takes away people’s freedom. Lu made me analyze who’s the real villain here Hideo or Zero. The twist at halfway through the book is not something I expected to happen. Marie Lu was really tricky when writing Wildcard. There are new important characters that add more twist to the duology and of course, the arc of each main characters. This book is the key to all problems we see in the first book. I’m not saying Wildcard is better than Warcross, but Wildcard is BETTER than Warcross. Alright, let’s get right into the point, shall we? Hello, it’s been 2 days and I still have a book hungover-okay, maybe I’m overreacting right now.
